The Second Annual - King Of The City - team skateboard contest
will take place July 18th – 20th this year, and is presented by
Ello Skateboards & 3rd Lair SkatePark & SkateShop.
The format for this event is teams of five made up of 4 skaters + 1 filmer.
This weekend-long event is essentially a scavenger hunt on skateboards
(similar to King of the Road) and the team who completes the most challenges will be crowned “THE KING OF THE CITY” during the event after-party on August 6th.
The contest kicks off on Friday, July 18th at 3rd Lair Skatepark in Burnsville, at 9:00am.
Teams who have entered the contest will be able to come and pick up their challenges at this time, as well as fuel up for the day on a gourmet breakfast of doughnuts and RedBull.
After a quick riders meeting the chaos will begin as teams scramble to complete hundreds of challenges by Sunday night.
On Sunday, July 20th the contest ends and all of the footage is due at 3rd Lair (Burnsville) by midnight to avoid disqualification. The scores will be tallied and a full event video will be created for the after-party/ awards ceremony on August 6th. This party will also be at the Burnsville 3rd Lair and will kick off at 10:00pm.
