Help us help Brooklyn!

Brooklyn is a 2 ½ year old little girl who has an amazing personality and zest for life.  She loves stories, playing with her 4 older siblings and cuddling with her baby brother.  She was a very healthy child until about the age of 1 ½ when her family started to notice changes in her. 

While on a family vacation for New Year’s 2008 Brooklyn was having breathing complications, blue lips, fingers and toes.  She was rushed to Children’s Hospital in Minneapolis by ambulance where she was later diagnosed with Diffuse Arterial Venous Malformations in both lungs.  This kind of malformation is extremely rare in children. 

She is one of the youngest diagnosed with this condition and no one her age has ever presented like her before.  Her immune system is compromised because of it.  Brooklyn has just returned from Boston Children’s Hospital where she underwent two separate surgeries to coil off the openings in her lungs.  She currently has 13 coils in her left lung and 5 coils in her right lung.  She has many more surgeries ahead of her. 

During this process the family lost their main source of income for two months as well as welcomed Brooklyn’s baby brother into the world.  The family has had many medical expenses and a loss of income due to the ongoing care that Brooklyn requires.  Brooklyn is scheduled to travel back to Boston for two more surgeries at the beginning of August.  If this does not help Brooklyn she may be facing lung transplants in the future.  Your prayers and support are greatly needed for Brooklyn and her family at this

time.

THE FUNDRAISER IS SCHEDULED FOR THURSDAY, JULY 31ST AT 12:00 - 9:00

Half of our admissions will be donated on this day.  We are also requesting items for the silent auction and raffle that we will be hosting this day.  Skateboard lessons are free this day with paid admission (13.00).  The 3rd Lair Demo Team and Friends will be performing all day long!  There will be a BBQ going on out back as well.  If you are interested in donating any items or just your time - please contact mark muller - 612 388 3709 or mark@3rdlair.com
